Every Barn Tells a Story stole the show at the Fayette County Quilt Show, West Union, Iowa this weekend. What a tremendous response it received from quilters, barn quilt lovers and quilt shop owners. Here we are with Shirley Fettkether, Maynard, Iowa, who has a Contrary Wife barn quilt on her barn - - and she's anything BUT contrary! Shirley shared a special story for the book about her barn which was turned into a basketball arena by her son whose high school team (from a class of 40 students) went to the state tournment one year. A Hoosiers-type story, but better.

I received my copy of your book yesterday and I just love it. Haven't read it all yet, just browsed, but I like it. I'll be ordering three more for gifts.
